You spawn in the middle of a village, in front of a water fountain* In order to start playing, begin the main quest, go on a side quest, or just do whatever you want. This  has a fully intractable environment, you know. And you're gonna need a weapon. It's ok, your fist is fine. It's just the weakest weapon in the game (except for that stick).

You can buy weapons or other items with valuable items, or emeralds. You can get emeralds by completing side quests,looting dead bodies,pick pocketing, and bartering, which can only be done in a bar or inn. It requires trading an item for another item, trading an item for emeralds, or competing in a challenge. You can find side quests  by talking to people that seem like they have one. It is also possible to loot the dead bodies of animals. You may run into thugs when in a bar, inn, or alleyway. You can fight them, run away, or just get beaten up.

The main quest is a quest which can only be done with the best items you can get. You must travel to the darkened Niitheria, which is technically the underworld. You can also travel to other lands in the game. Just thought I'd throw that out right there. And while you're there, you're gonna have to fight the Dark Lord, Nopliurous. You really don't have to. But it's just epic. It's like a Steve vs Herobrine thing.
